Will Invade Elk Grove Park
See the Mega Ray from the Inside and be a part of West Coast kite history by witnessing the Mega-Ray, the World’s Largest Kite, as it fills the skies of Elk Grove Park, CA. The Mega-Ray’s lifting surface, apart from its 130-foot long tail, is 12,696 square feet. Although kite experts do not generally include a kite's tail when computing a kite's size, if one were to do so for the Mega-Ray, the dimensions would be 223 feet long by 138 feet wide, making a grand total of 30,774 square feet. If you think just looking at this awesome kite is cool, just wait until you go inside the Mega-Ray!
Imagine strolling around a kite whose shadow looms over two-thirds of an American football field! Or picture four basketball games happening at the same time INSIDE the Mega-Ray and STILL having room left for the fans. This baby even has a whale of a tail, one so wide that a family of five could walk side-by-side through it.
