A.K.A. Logo AKA Question

This looks like a good kite story to snack on!

Over the last year or so while searching for addresses for NCKC mailers and BASKL mailers, I even got peripherally involved searching for addresses for Berkeley festival mass ascension pin recipients.

While searching my favorite resource, I began to realize that a great many of you are NOT AKA members! I can’t help by wonder "whets up with this"?

We are all "kite nuts" and love information on and about our sport and the people involved in it.

We (NCKC) are an AKA affiliated club and I believe we should all support this great organization dedicated to our favorite pastime..

Now is a great time to get aquatinted (or re-aquatinted) with the AKA, New things are happening,

Among them, the news letter KITING is now in color! Shinny like a real magazine and with much improved contents.....even a column by ME!

The AKA recently announced a bold new program called National Kite Month which will include everything from promoting your festival to producing a complete educational program that can be used as a tool to teach subjects in the classroom. Lots more info on this thru the AKA.

Watch out for kite month...April this year! With hopefully up to 200 events across the country!
