HAPPY THANKSGIVING

November 27 I'm back from Mexico... It was a good trip and I think everybody had lots of fun. The weather was not as good as last year or the year before... we had clouds, rain and fog and some nice days too! It was fun traveling with Vince as it was his first time in Mexico and he was in awe of it all! The trip down and back in my truck went great. We could carry everything we owned and had no problems with anything....till  Saturday morning when several of us got sick....I had the most violent projectile vomiting spell of my life, in fact now four days later my chest and stomach muscles still hurt! Most of the rest of the victims just got the travelers dread the runs! As for me I have not been far from a toilet since and now figure projects like unloading the truck in "trips to the bathroom"... if you are wondering it took 5 trips to the bathroom to get the truck unloaded! I didn't get to do much shopping the last couple days but did manage a little flying in Sunday...had to most everything in the truck was soaked because it poured down rain Saturday evening and I was too sick to do anything about it... so I flew lots of kites Sunday to dry them out and spread everything else out in the sun for several hours... looked like a real Okie doing his laundry! I didn't get that many good photos but here are a few.

The first night there we went to a joint where you ordered the BBQ pork or pork by the kilo...we ordered 2 kilos for this group!

I had to put the flag on the hotel!

Another shot of my flag on the hotel. The winds weren't strong enough for the 252 to fly it ...but everyone enjoyed it draped on the building.

Wednesday night we all went to Porto Nuevo for lobster and a shopping spree, this small town has about 10 lobster places and lots of touristy kind of shops for entertainment. Guess who was trying on wrestling masks....?

I had to try the BIG lobster! This sucker was as big as my cat... notice the scale next to the margarita glass! First time in my life I had enough lobster!

Pete Hartman saying hello to baby Ben, Mark and Jeanette Lumas's 4 month old, also in the picture is Susan Shampo and Al Stroh.

Mister Ben, after a long day of flying my yellow Pyro!

The big surprise of the week was Bens love for Al Stroh!  He just took to em!  Anytime he was a little fussy Al would take him and he would just go quiet and limp and then to sleep... like magic... didn't work for Sue or ME... Ben I think took a dislike for me.....sniff...

We had a great Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings!

Here are some pictures of our feast:

We had some light wind mornings.... made Mark so crazy he ate a banner pole!

What time did ya say the wind usually comes up?

Most afternoons had some wind and a couple days we woke up to wind and flew till after 8 o'clock! My 252  and Pyro loved the Mexico winds! Kite in back is my Larry Mixon Conyne.... Larry held it up there all day!

This shot looks like the Pyro is docking with the 252!

A shot from the balcony of my room at a cruise ship passing the island.

Ron and Susan took some photos as well as soon as they get them up I will add them or link em ... All in all we did have a lot of fun... and I may like Mexico again....when I heal!
