| August 19 | It's WISKIF time again! The Washington International Kite Festival IS my
favorite of the whole season. We have the house rented and we will caraVAN up
there on the 19th. This years travelers are Dan Whitney, Dan Burnham,
sister Sharon, Sharon Musto, son Aaron his girly friend Robin, AND ME!. I'll try to get some photos up daily... depending on the tired meter!

| August 20 | The drive up to WISKIF was uneventful, both Vans ran smoothly and we had a
good time talking and laughing the whole 13 hour drive! day 1 on the
beach was a little slow but still the sky was full all day. Wind was
light but usable. BEEN real busy playing on the beach all day and playing in town till late, I get to the computer so late I can hardly see! I started a gallery of photos. WE had a blast all week, even the drive up was fun to me! There was no rain during the days this year, though the days were kinda gray. I took a zillion photos and choose this half a zillion to put up here on the WISKIF page.

| August 31 | See ya at the Golden Gate Challenge in San Francisco.
"Click here for info". The 2002 Golden Gate Challenge was a great day....Even tho the sun never really broke thru the fog! The winds were really light, specially in the morning, but smooth smooth! Fortunately it wasn't cold till late in the day when the fog touched the beach. Turnout was good and we even had Darrin Skinner AND Dan Whitney return to the fields to fly after many years of retirement! I didn't take many photos as they never turn out good on foggy gray days, here are the ones I did take. Guess who won the Masters Ballet??? Yup that would be ME!! Dan Whitney put up a gizillion great photos of the week AND if that's not enough here are the photos Steve Hall took (7 pages).
