Two weekends ago I attended the NCKC spring camp out at Morro Strand, near
Morro Bay. While I admit, it was a long drive to get there it was well worth
it. The weather was great, the park was nice, and the Beach was near perfect
for kiting....well in my opinion anyway! The sand was HARD! All of it it
was so easy to walk on it, I just loved it! It is a huge beach, I couldn't
see either end so I have no idea exactly how long it is! The wind on
the other hand was GOOFY at best! Saturday we had a ton of stuff up, big
kites, medium kites, and everything in between! The darn wind was up and down
and would shift directions completely every half hour or so. Not a little,
but 180° then back.... it kept me so busy I never took the camera out to
catch the show! Sunday was way better.... at least it kinda stayed in one general direction, but it was up and down...WAY up then off!!! We had a good turn out considering the drive and MAN did we have one hellofa pot luck dinner Saturday night, there was a "Mile" of great food. Here are the photos for the weekend.

We had to share the field with a animal circus set up, but BASKL's
first competition was a great success, threats of rain and thunderstorms
didn't happen and we had a perfectly glorious day. The very reason we
don't cancel events for fear of rain!} We had several new players, this is
great and some are GOOD fliers! Speaking of good fliers, that kid of
mine Aaron beat us all in masters ballet! Even Uly Villaneueva beat me too!
Gee, maybe its time for me to leave it to the youngsters! NA!!!!
Here
are the photos for the day.
